Alison Glass Fabric, the bright vibrate colors and designs, has always caught my eye and I knew I had to make a quilt for my niece. She has an outgoing personality, artistic, and loves bright and bold colors. I had gotten the book Quilt with Tula & Angela and after looking through the patterns I knew Future Flower Garden with the perfect pattern.

Fabric by Alison Glass

One thing I really loved about this pattern is that it was easy to follow and didn't over complicate instructions. After I picked which fabrics I wanted to use the cutting begin.

stacked the coordinating colors to make sure I didn't miss a color

The beauty and curse of this pattern is the endless possibility of different color schemes and placement of each color. After sewing the diamond and triangles together I laid the colors out to pick which flower would be beside each other. My OCD mind went into overdrive, and I do believe steam was probably rolling out my ears.

oh the endless game of shuffling pieces around till your OCD mind exhausts itself out and you settle

The final product is one that each time I look at it I'm blown away at the 3-D look that it gives off. The contrast of light and dark and accents of bright colors, makes me smile each time I stop and look at it. My Niece is absolutely thrilled with the quilt and that night put it on her bed and probably said my favorite thing... "it smells like Aunt Jessica's house" yep that me wrapping my arms around you snuggling you tight.
