I found this supper cute fabric at Wal-Mart a couple years. I was planning on making my mom some new Christmas wall stockings and decide to add a quilt to the list. The Pattern is from Lo & Behold Stitchery and called Retro Ornaments Quilt. On the pattern it called for the circles to be divided into quarters sewn to background fabric then the quarters sewn together to create the ornament. Because I was using directional fabric and I really wanted to have a whole circle with no sems I had to figure out how to make it work. So after calculating and creating a template using the one that came with pattern, behold a whole circle. It took patience and a whole lot of pins but I love the outcome.
